With over 30 years of software development experience, husband and wife team Tom and Pam Gensel founded PTG Systems in June, 2006 with the goal of providing quality, value-based software development consulting services to clients in Northeast Ohio or  across the globe.

Our Favorite Projects

We helped InHand Electronics add Image Update support to the boot loader of their Windows Mobile reference platform, providing the platform with a multi-region flash update capability for updating the firmware and operating system.

We designed and built an extrusion production line output monitoring and reporting system for Imperial Plastics to continuously track the output of 15 production lines. Monitors are installed on an RS-485 serial network that feeds a collector that asynchronously updates SQL Server data tables. The collector was written in C# using test driven development.

Using Agile and test-driven development methodologies, PTG provided full life-cycle development services for a new, native iOS app written in Swift, including automated build, test and release processes.

SmartLabs, the world’s leading authority on electronic home improvement and automation, chose PTG Systems to provide rapid embedded application development and integration services for a new ARM-based, wireless, home automation controller.

PTG designed, developed and supports the migration of line-of-business order entry, scheduling, work order, shipping and invoicing applications from a Microsoft Access DB to a MS SQL Server back end.

When the New York-based, non-profit Stage Managers’ Association had outgrown their original website, they turned to PTG to design and develop a new, subscription-based membership website with a recurring membership payment processing system, job postings, member directory, member blog, document library and more.

As part of a multi-national product development team, PTG Systems developed satellite and RDS/TMC data decoding software for an in-car infotainment system, and provided development support for navigation, media, and other in-dash information and control systems.

PTG Systems developed the firmware and embedded application for TimeKeeping’s IP Downloader. This embedded application included a multi-page, web-based management interface and a secure WSDL SOAP interface for device configuration, data transfer, management and diagnostics.
